Meet The Team

Jessica Wallner, LPMT, MT-BC

Owner & Music Therapist

Jessica is a proud Ohio University grad with a degree in Music Therapy and a knack for finding creative adventures. She started her career at Mixed Melody as a music therapist, then decided to spice things up by moving to Germany, where she taught English and helped international families bond through music and art.

Now at the helm of Mixed Melody, Jessica masterfully balances the roles of owner, day-to-day operations leader, and dedicated therapist with a small but meaningful caseload.

Outside of work, Jessica embraces life’s joys with her husband and daughter, often bonding over board games, art projects, and culinary creations. She also treasures quiet moments spent snuggling with her beloved cat and dog, proving that her life is as harmonious as the music she loves.

Janeen (1).heic

Janeen Havener, LPMT, MT-BC

Music Therapist

Janeen’s musical journey began with a Bachelor of Music in flute performance from Bob Jones University, where she mastered the art of turning breath into beauty. She then added a dose of heart to her talent by pursuing Music Therapy at Saint Mary of the Woods College. During her internship at New Avenues to Independence, she brought joy and connection to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, proving that music truly speaks louder than words.

When she’s not creating harmony through her work, Janeen is all about living life to the fullest. Whether she’s spiking volleyballs, cruising on a boat, casting a fishing line, getting lost in a good book, or laughing with friends and family, she brings the same energy and passion to her free time as she does to her music.

Melinda Glass, LPMT, MT-BC

Music Therapist

Melinda (Mel) Glass is a music therapist with a passion for helping people of all ages and abilities find their rhythm. A Cleveland State University grad, finishing her internship at MetroHealth Hospitals, Mel has been turning music into magic ever since.

When she’s not making musical connections, you’ll likely find her soaring—literally—as an aerial yoga instructor or diving into her latest creative project, whether it’s painting a masterpiece or jamming out on her favorite instrument.

Now joining the team, Mel is ready to bring her unique blend of energy and artistry to the mix. She can’t wait to meet everyone and make some beautiful music together!

With over a decade of vocal training under her belt, she’s no stranger to hitting the high notes—both in music and life.

When she’s not working her music magic, you’ll find her diving into cozy games on her Switch, getting lost in a good book, or hanging out with her adorable dog, Winston. Whether Angela’s singing, gaming, or cuddling her pup, she’s all about finding the joy in every moment!

Nina Vanek

Music Instructor

Hailing from a charming village in Germany, Nina is a true creative powerhouse—musician, performer, entrepreneur, and teacher all rolled into one. She began her journey in 2004, studying musical theater in Bochum, and has since dabbled in just about everything: musicals, bands, studio work, songwriting, acting, and even serenading happy couples at weddings.

In 2012, Nina brought her talents across the pond to Cleveland, where she’s been sharing her passion for music through private voice lessons. By 2018, she added “founder” to her resume with the launch of Vanek, Inc., a production company creating and licensing music for TV and film.

A bilingual mom of two lively German-American kiddos and two equally energetic Border Collies, Nina draws inspiration from concerts, singing, family adventures, yoga, crafting, and the great outdoors. Whether she’s performing, writing, traveling, or rearranging furniture with a feng shui flair, Nina’s zest for life shines through in everything she does!

Lindsey Macey

Music Instructor

Lindsey is a Youngstown State University grad with a degree in music education and a knack for making music fun for everyone.

With experience teaching band, choir, and general music to students from kindergarten to 8th grade, Lindsey’s passion for music education knows no bounds. She’s also been giving one-on-one lessons for over 16 years, specializing in piano but happily dabbling in voice, beginner band instruments, guitar, and ukulele.

When she’s not teaching, Lindsey stays busy (and fit!) at the CrossFit gym, knitting and crocheting her next masterpiece, or enjoying quality time with her husband and their three energetic kids. Whether she’s hitting the high notes or the gym floor, Lindsey brings creativity and energy to everything she does!
